There’s Nothing Like Lemonade!

School is ending for the summer and the days are getting hotter. What would be more refreshing for the kids when they come in from playing in the sun than a cool glass of fresh lemonade? To make it even better, let them have the fun of making it themselves!

Slice 6 large lemons in half and juice them. Mix the lemon juice and one cup of sugar in a large pitcher, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add two quarts of water and stir well.

Pour over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon, for some added flair.

*Kitchen tip* Add some kick to your lemonade by adding in some fresh fruit. Strawberries, blueberries, and peaches are great choices to pair with lemonade and all some into season throughout the summer. Use cut up pieces or mash the fruit and stir it in for extra flavor.
